Urgent Electrical Troubleshooting

For fire, smoke, sparking equipment or immediate danger, move away and contact emergency services. For other electrical problems, describe the symptoms and confirm service availability.

For an active fire, smoke, sparking equipment or immediate danger, leave the area and contact emergency services. Do not wait for a website response.

PDI Electric accepts requests for urgent electrical troubleshooting, including partial power loss, failed circuits and recurring electrical faults. Availability must be confirmed directly. Sending a service request does not confirm a dispatch time or provide a 24-hour emergency response.

Utility outage or a problem at the property?

A wider outage and a fault affecting part of one building are different situations. If it is safe to do so, check the utility's official outage information and note whether surrounding properties appear affected. Do not approach damaged service equipment or fallen lines to investigate. When making a request, describe what you know without guessing which organization caused the problem.

Describe the symptoms clearly

Useful information includes when the problem started, which rooms or devices lost power, whether it is intermittent and whether there were recent equipment or renovation changes. Mention unusual smells, sounds or visible damage from a safe location. You do not need photographs, panel access or a diagnosis to explain what is happening.

A repeated trip needs investigation

Do not repeatedly reset a breaker that continues to trip or bypass a protective device. The cause might involve a load, wiring, equipment or a protective component; it must be assessed. A larger breaker is not a general solution. For a non-immediate concern, read our guide to recurring breaker trips and request electrical repair service.

Help us understand the property

Provide the town and ZIP code, a contact number, the type of property and whether it is occupied. Explain access restrictions and who can authorize work. If vital equipment is affected, arrange appropriate immediate assistance rather than relying on an unconfirmed service request.

What happens after a request?

The service form collects the basic information needed for follow-up about scope and scheduling. It is not an emergency dispatch system. PDI Electric serves Atco, Berlin, Voorhees, Marlton and Medford; the specific visit and availability need confirmation. For general electrical warning signs, see the Electrical Safety Foundation's guidance.
